Hotel Directions
Oriental Corner Hotel Apartments can easily be accessed via Dubai’s excellent public transport network. If you’re coming in through Dubai International Airport (DXB), then you’re just a 15-20 minute drive away. A taxi from the airport to here would cost much less (approximately 40-60 AED) than a taxi going all the way to Marina, for example. Alternatively, metros are always faster when there’s traffic; Al Fahidi Metro Station (Green Line) is within walking distance of this hotel. From either terminal on Red Line at Airport station: get off at BurJuman station and change onto Green Line metro one stop further - simple! This connection brings every part of town close by with cheap reliable access to anything from Deira Gold Souk up north down south towards Dubai Mall.
Traffic management in Bur Dubai is a critical factor to consider. The area suffers from heavy gridlock during the evening rush hour (roughly 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM). If you are planning to take a taxi during these times, be prepared for delays. Many taxi drivers may even be reluctant to enter the narrow side streets of Bur Dubai during peak times. It is often faster to walk to the main road (Bank Street or Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road) to hail a cab than to wait for one to come to the hotel entrance.
If you are renting a car, think twice. While having a car is useful for exploring the wider UAE, parking in Bur Dubai is a notorious headache. The hotel may offer limited parking (always check in advance), but public street parking is paid (RTA meters) and extremely competitive. You might spend 20 minutes circling the block to find a space in the evening. For this specific location, relying on the Metro and affordable taxis (or Careem/Uber) is far less stressful than managing a rental vehicle.
